God is willing to put His mind into our mind. His nature, His mind, His way of thinking, His way of love and kindness. His goal for us is to have us become “partakers of the divine nature…” (II Pet.1:4b). A God “mind meld.” He wants us to merge and become one with Him, having the same thought process and intellect. He is willing to put His mind into our mind. What an interesting way to think about what God wants for us. Have we ever thought about God reaching out to us to blend His mind to our mind? Being a “Trekkie” certainly was not my goal in life, but I guess Spock reached out and melded with my mind. Little did I know I would become a “Trekkie.” My mind would be melded to a science fiction show. I was watching the very first televised episode of Star Trek. I remember where I was on September 8, 1966. Neil Armstrong stepped out onto the moon. ![]() Many of us remember the big events of life and where we were. Once joined by the Vulcan “mind meld,” the two parties will forever be linked as one. “My mind to your mind, your mind to my mind,” then they became one of thought and intellect. We repeat the one, two, three and try to use the two previously stated things to arrive at a third, common one. Then we think what the common thing between those two things or associated with those two things would be. They then say anything at all – a person, place, idea, concept, phrase: anything. It begins by one person saying “one,” the second person saying “two,” and then both people counting to three together. The goal is for two people to say things together until they reach the same word. ![]()
